Does Anyone Know What Happened to Green Splatter?

Over the past few years, I became a frequent reader of the Green Splatter disc golf blog. I enjoyed the site’s humor, and the fan-based approach to reporting on throwing techniques, tournaments, and new disc molds. The articles were always well-written.

Green Splatter was an impressive journalistic effort by its founder, Lucas Miller. It takes a lot to crank out daily articles focused on one particular sport. But Miller did so for a long time—joined occasionally by another excellent writer, Taylor Larsen.

As Miller explained on the home page of his blog: “Green Splatter is a daily blog for disc golf fans who follow the professional game, but would rather be outside playing it than inside spending hours reading about it.”

Strangely, Green Splatter abruptly stopped publishing after October 21, 2024. Since then, the site has remained online—but with no new content.

I had written a few guest articles for Green Splatter, so I would occasionally email Lucas Miller. After the site stopped posting new pieces, I emailed him to check in—to ask if everything was all right.

I wanted to know what might have happened. Why did his site suddenly go dark?

Miller didn’t respond to my email—which concerned me.

I tried to email Taylor Larsen. I thought maybe he might know. But I couldn’t find a way to reach him.

I mention all of this because I hope that Miller is all right. And I’m curious what might have happened.

If anyone knows what the status of Green Splatter might be, please leave a comment, or send an email through this website.

And also, if you’re a disc golf fan, check out the treasure trove of great articles and content that are still posted on the Green Splatter site.
